Description of lesson: Students will use vocaroo.com to record a radio show of a major character from R&J
Assignment: Students will be using their knowledge of a major character to create a radio show. The show only needs to be a minute long but make sure to record information so we know which character you are speaking from. However, I do not want you to tell us your character! When everyone is finished recording; we as a class will be listening to the recordings and guessing the characters.
Resources/materials needed: Text of Romeo and Juliet, computer with internet access, vocaroo.com
Technology reflection: Since this assignment will be done in class I think it could work. I would be worried to assign it as an at home project because some students may not have the resources to record sound on their computers. This should be fun for the students to show their creative side!
Evaluation: (as a classroom teacher, this will be where you jot your notes on what went right, what needs to be changed, etc.)
The one thing that I'm worried about is the time that this would take in our classroom, however, if I encourage students to write a script BEFORE they record, it may help with time constraints.
